What started out as a simple journey to help churches with production has evolved into a comprehensive approach to building the Kingdom.
I grew up in a rock-n-roll band. Well, I was a wannabe. I played guitar, but not very well. I had dreams of becoming a rock star like many young lads. I started my walk with God when i was 19 and attended Bible college in Oklahoma. After graduation, I worked for a traveling minister where I was introduced to audio production. I married my incredible wife in 1991. We moved to Texas and I began volunteering as the audio technician for our home church. I attended Audio Engineering Institute and pursued excellence and expertise in the field.
I served as a Pastor of Technical Ministries for 22 years at two different churches, launching multisite campuses and live-streaming services. During this time, building teams and developing people was my passion. I launched Austin Tech Group with a friend and worked to create community among church technical staff and volunteers. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to help many churches navigate the technological journey as they seek to remain relevant and communicate effectively to the generations. My aim is technical excellence with a heart of worship.
For the past several years, I've had the opportunity to travel across the country visiting with many churches. One of the greatest things I've been able to do is strategize with church leaders on how to move their church forward. It all starts with the WHY! It's easy to talk about the what and the how but the WHY is what must drive what we do and how we do it. Through great conversations, I've had tremendous success in partnering with churches and helping them find the path to fulfill their refocused vision.
I have parallel stories with production in the church and finding health after addiction. My wife, Lynn, and I are honored to share our journey with men's conferences, women's retreats, marriage events and Sunday morning services.
